Does trueplay still exists?

Hi there, Android user here.I borrowed an iPhone to calibrate my speakers, right after the new App was rolled out (first version of the new App).I am pretty sure I saw the “trueplay on/off” switch on my Android right after this.Today (I think there was one update to the new app), I do not see the “trueplay on/off” switch anymore.What does that mean?Are my speakers not longer trueplay calibrated? Did I somehow lose this new calibration? Is just that “on/off” switch missing in the new update. Does trueplay not longer exist?The third topic I ask, because additionally I can not use the automatic Trueplay feature on my Sonos Move (v1) anymore. There is no way to turn the build in microfone on. Not with the app and not with touch control on the Move itself.

The "I can't add my Ikea Symfonisk since the new app was released" thread

It seems like it's time to try to collect at much info as possible on not being able to add Ikea symphonisk’s since the last update.In my case, I bought some Symphonisk picture frames. Via ethernet and or wifi, you can get to the very last step, verify audio pin and then you are told that there was an issue adding the product to your system no matter what route you take, manual pin verification, audio pin verification, same outcome. For science I returned the first set and got another set. Same exact issue. For science one more time, I returned those and tried it again, same exact issue. I was able to successfully add a sub mini which is great, but pointless at this point. This was attempted with both an ios and and an android device on the latest release for both platforms. Attempting to use the 16.1 app on android to try to add these speakers does not work either. Not because it doesn’t work but because the app refuses to let you add anything IF you are not running the latest app.

Searching for locally-stored music in new app

A very basic question.I have all my music stored on my Mac in iTunes. I used to use the Search function in the old app to find albums and individual songs and play them through 2 x Sonos 1, a Sonos 3 (old school) and a Sonos Roam.Now, it looks like this option has been taken away from me in the new app.Why? Will this functionality be restored in alter app updates?

I have a Sonos Arc with sub and a LG OLED TV.With the new Sonos headphones, will I be able to listen to TV sound thru headphones while my wife still listens to TV sound thru the Arc soundbar at the same time?

Play 1 fails repeatedly to update after S2 upgrade

I really am struggling to get this to work and have googled relentlessly to find some solutions, but without any working. I have taken the step to update to S2 app and will plan to get a couple of devices to replace my old Connects. In preparation for this I thought I would try and get my Play 1 updated on S2 before I progress with other steps. Glad I did as I am really struggling with completing the update. I have tried: Waiting out the update. This takes around 3 hours to get to 75% but then progresses no further Force quitting the app when I get the error (1014), waiting for the green light to return, changing the WIFI back to my home, retrying. Factory resetting the Play 1Neither of these is showing any progress. Plus support wait in Australia is 90 mins and the chat is not manned.Anyone got some things I can try?

Hello everyone hope you are doing well , I just started my journey into Sonos and i chose to start with ikea symfonisk book shelf gen2 however It wasn't my lucky day :/ since I bought it 4 days ago and all the trouble to set up with the new app however I was happy and jump when I saw today app release and end up adding the device however at the end it ask for update and showing error 1002 and wont show any device in the system i had used several phones android ipad iphone also tried another email account all unfortunately not working please shear your thoughts and even any have smiler issue after the app update todayios 80.01.10

My solution to error 1014 upgrading speakers from S1 to S2 - ios app

This is for anyone who has Sonos speakers that want to upgrade from the old S1 app and system to the new S2 app. I spent hours on the phone to support who may have been helpful in providing some knowledge on the Sonos system, but when trying to work with me to resolve my issue I ended up figuring it out myself.Sonos - iOS app for iPhone and iPad - version 80.00.08 as of 15th May 2024.I have two systems in my house, the new one had Sonos amps which I put on the new S2 app from day one so I knew that the system worked. All my Play 1’s and Play 5s were on the old S1. I also have a Sonos Beam and 2 Sonos 1’s (these are the tv ‘surround’ setup).First of all all my Play 5s were gen 1 so were not compatible with S2, the upgrade process on the app factory reset them and took them off the S1 app as the upgrade process apparently doesn’t work with them linked. You then have to add them back into the S1 app one at a time.All my devices ended up needing several updates, not just one to get th

After upgrade to new version Sonos app hangs on Retune

I have a system with 2 ERA 100 a minisub and beam Everything was OK and I use Trueplay. After updating (now the system is on IOS 17.4.1 is S2 built 80.00.04. In trueplay when I try retune the system hangs (after rotating when there is the message You will hear some tones… It hangs and only reseting (power off) the phone I can escape from this scree. Is this a normal behaviour? Any solution? Thanks

Tidal on the new app. Cover art is missing from the playlists and you’re not able to add anything to the Sonos Favorites. Is this going to be addressed?

Alexa group no longer working

I have an ARC in the living room and a One in the kitchen. These are grouped in Alexa and Sonos in a group called downstairs.For years I could say Alexa, play music downstairs and both rooms would play.Some recent update has broken this. Now the same command only plays on the device listening to the voice command, not both. However if I manually group living room and kitchen in Sonos, stop playback in Sonos then ask Alexa to play downstairs both devices play correctly. I know I saw this same behavior in another post but I have not seen a resolution.Any help?

WTF!!! Headphones ? Seriously!!! Get the f’ing app working properly why would you want headphones for a 20+ speaker system!! Just put a couple of I pods in your ears!!! Perfect sound and cheap!!!!yse the research money on making an app that is fit for purpose !!!!idiots !

Sonos Setup Not Working

Here‘s what happening:I choose setup new speaker I choose the Roam SL It says „There was a problem setting your Sonos Roam SL…Let‘s try something else“ Click Continue To continue, let‘s connect your movable device to the temporary network… I click Join Next your Sonos will play a chime… I click continue It plays a sound Says finalizing connection… “We‘re having trouble finalizing the connection to your Sonos Roam SL I click Try Again it fails again „We couldn‘t verify the audio passcode“6 I try then the PIN number This also fails „There was a problem during setup“ I‘ve tried restarting my device, I‘ve tried on both my iPad and my iPhone. Is this speaker just broken? What else can I try?

Can Sonos Recover From This?

So it has been about two days since the launch of the new Sonos app. Judging by the number of negative posts on this community forum and on the Sonos subreddit, I think it is pretty safe to say that the app launch has been a pretty massive failure.This is a very critical moment for Sonos. The Sonos app is the core of their ecosystem. I can imagine tensions are running high at the Sonos headquarters as they try to figure out what went wrong and how they need to respond. A moment like this can sometimes be the beginning of the end for a company and Sonos knows this.Consumer trust is the most important thing a company needs to remain successful and to grow. Sonos dropped the ball with the new app and has lost the trust of many new and loyal customers. And the timing cannot be any worse with the upcoming release of their new headphones.So what does Sonos need to do next? What kind of response would ease your anger and frustrations? How much time are you willing to give Sonos to bring back

"connection to Plex was lost"

Sonos error message “unable to play “song” connection to plex was lost”. Plex on Sonos can move between music folders and tracks, but once a track is selected same error message occurs.This started happening mid February 2024. In the past this has happened every time there is a new release of Plex media server. To fix the problem I would log into Plex media server on my Synology NAS DSM18+ running V6.0 to find a message that an update to Plex was available. Same message now, and new version of Plex media was server released Feb 13, 2024. New 64 bit version for Synology 6.0 installed ( stop Plexmedia server from running, download and install correck .spk file, re-start Plex media server). But problem persists.Sonos on iphone can play Amazon music and other apps- TuneIn fine. Plex by itself on iphone can play music from Nas fine.Sonos support contacted twice- Sonos re-booted, router/modem re- booted- no change. Speed of Internet checked and over 350 mbps/sec. Sonos deleted and re-install
