Connecting turn table

Hi I currently have a zone player which connects my record player, but it's only for the S1 app. Do I need a connect gen2 (far cheaper than the port) to replace the zone player on the s2 app? Thanks

era 300 volume level for music listening

hey everyone. i got myself a refurbished era 300. it came with a good discount and considering the 100 days return policy, i wanted to give it a shot. i love it overall! i was just curious about one thing. I only have 1 unit (not stereo) and i think music gets loud and room filling after 50 percent more like 65-70 range. is that normal? i guess the only reason i ask this silly question is my home theatre setup which is beam gen2, sub mini and 2x era100’s get very very loud. it’s probably a output total watt kind of thing but i wanted to check. thanks

Just hooked up a Sonos Amp with a couple Sonance architectural ceiling speakers. Sounds like absolute garbage. I had an am/fm alarm clock back in the 80’s that sounded better. What gives?

Setting up two ERA 100s with Sonos ARC and Samsung TV.

Help! Spent several hours today trying to set up my two new ERA 100 speakers with my existing ARC system and Sub Mini, all playing through a big Samsung TV, with Pandora music in the daytime and evening news and a few streaming or network shows in the evening. I play Pandora music using the app on the Samsung, but the two ERA speakers would not respond with that approach--zero sound from the ERAs. The tech support person suggested using the Sonos app to access Pandora. That works, but that’s not how I want to access Pandora. Pandora has worked just fine using the Samsung TV remote until I added the ERA speakers. But it won’t work that way with the ERA speakers. My tech support person seemed as frustrated as I was. After nearly two hours working with her, I could see that we were getting nowhere by doing down the same paths over and over-with the same negative results. I suggested that she get with someone who could solve the problem which she promised to try to do. So I have

Hello first time here, Sonos user. Happy with what I have. Took a while to set up my system, but now is working fine.my question is if adding an Era300( only 1) would be ok. Or have to be 2 Sonos (Era 300).my system consist of;beam 2, sub 3 gen, 2 Sonos SL, 1 roam.it would make it better??

How to control ceiling speakers connected to amp with samsung tv remote.

Here is my scenario which i need to explain to hopefully have someone understand my issue and help with my a solution. So my home is setup with ceiling speakers in every room with their own dedicated amp. The amps are all set up in my basement far away from my tv. I just bought a new Samsung frame tv and wanted to connect the tv to the ceiling speakers in the living room that it’s in, but i don’t have the option to run an hdmi from the living room to the amp in my basement. So what i did was buy a Sonos Ray speaker, connected that to my Samsung frame tv via an optical digital audio cable, and then i was able to add the Ray speaker to my Sonos system via its WiFi and was then able to link the ceiling speakers in my living room with the Ray speaker. So now I’m able to play my tv volume through both the Ray speaker and the ceiling speakers in my living room. Here is where I’m having an issue. I want to be able to control both the Ray speaker and my ceiling speakers volume with my Samsun

NAS/iMac help (NAS noob)

I use Sonos mostly to access local files. The app told me today I’m going to need a NAS to do this in the future.i currently have around 16000 music files (and growing).My files currently live on my newish iMac (running Ventura).I’ve spent a frankly disgusting amount of time curating this collection. It means a lot to me is anyone would probably guess by just being here asking these questions.At a minimum, I would really appreciate a recommendation on a good Nas for someone in my situation. Particularly with the emphasis on doesn’t know what the F he’s doing. If anyone actually feels like giving me a little more information on best practices for bringing one of these things home, I would certainly appreciate it.

Sonos would gain new customers by integrating Home Assistant voice compatibility into its speakers, and as with many open source projects, there are many qualified people in the community.A large portion of users would buy a Sonos speaker if it could include their voice assistant! Should Sonos consider this question?Especially since Sonos won its lawsuit against Google (patent infringement), and the next one will be Amazon, with Alexa. How will Sonos speakers continue to be compatible with "OK, Google" (which doesn't work for me!!!) and "Alexa" in the long run?Google has already withdrawn 17 features since the end of January 2024. Google and Amazon are refocusing on AI for home connectivity, either with new products that will be compatible with their AI, and new apps, which will undoubtedly be incompatible with Sonos speakers, as Google refuses to pay royalties to Sonos to integrate its patents into its own connected speakers.I'll let you guess what is likely to happen...
