Pair it with the sub and 2 play ones for surround. My living room sounds better than some movie theatres, and my wife loves the night time mode. It keeps dialogue clear but reduces the volume of music and explosions.

I couldn't be happier. I needed a sound system for a room we don't watch TV in all the time. We did not want a full blown surround system as we have an audio\video room already. The setup was very easy I had it running in minutes. The sound is perfect and even without a dedicated base unit it is booming. I plan to add a few smaller speakers in the future.

The setup is strange, but it definitely works. I ran it for a few days without setting it up and it worked, but seemed dull. After I finally got around to setting it up, the sound was very noticeably better throughout the room, particularly to the sides of the unit.
