alarms (playlists) not turning off after designated time

Using playlists either from Apple or amazing music and although the alarms are now coming on and shuffling my music, they don’t turn off after the designated time after this damn update. Anyone have any ideas to fix this?

New app Sucks!!

This new app is one of the worst apps I have ever used! I have been a high end integrator for 30 years! I love Sonos but will now have to find a new music system to sell if they don’t fix this!

Problems setting up on new sonos app

Since the latest (May 2024) upgrade to the Sonos App my system has stopped working.System consists of:Sonos BoostSonos 1 x 1Sonos 3 x 2The app has so far spotted the Boost but then failed to add it, stating only:We couldn’t find any Sonos products on your mobile device’s network so we can’t set up you [Boost].I’ve had the same result trying to set up the two Play 3’s.Bizarrely, the Play 1 has been set up with no problem. But without the boost or the play 3’s I don’t have a network worth a light.All products have been factory reset and were each individually connected to the router via ethernet during attempts to set up. Mobile device was on the same Wi-Fi network (2.4Ghz) as the boost (am assuming still that Sonos does not support 5 or 6 ghz). Any ideas? ThanksFrank

Sonos Beam Optical output no longer working

I’ve had a Sonos Beam for several years, hooked up to a system to allow me to play output from my computer. This required a bit of tinkering to get right! I had to:Buy a device that converts USB → SPDIF Get a SPDIF → HDMI converter Connect all that up so that I had USB → SPDIF → HDMI → HDMI into the BeamSince getting that sorted it has worked great! Until yesterday, when suddenly I could no longer get any audio through this setup :(. In all other respects the Beam works fine - I can connect to it through the app and play audio that way, and it correctly makes noises when I press the buttons.Things I’ve tried to fix the problem:Unplug and replug all of the various connections Reboot computer Reboot Beam Fiddle around with the audio output settings from my computer (as far as I can tell they are all fine) Rotate the HDMI-HDMI cableI’m pretty sure that everything is fine as far as the USB->SPDIF converter, because you don’t have an optical cable plugged in you can see the red light tha

Hi Sonos Community,I plan to swap my exisiting in ceiling speakers to Sonos ones and wanted to ask which size would fit.The hole in the ceiling is 210mm.Would 6” or 8” fit best. Thanks in advance

The new app - it is embarrassing

It's downright embarrassing how bad the new app is. If I play on one speaker and want to activate more speakers, it fails every single time, and suddenly the speaker I wanted to add can start playing something else (music that has been played before) If I want to add a favorite radio station, where I have 3 right now and want to add a 4th, can't. It feels like a director's decision has been made that Sonos will have a new app and the developers have been given an end date when the app would be ready, but as we can see it is anything but finished. We as Sonos users who have spent probably quite a lot of money to have a premium experience, now get to experience something completely different. Isn't it better to withdraw this update, fix the problems and launch it again.

recent app upgrade - now cannot find speakers

Since downloading the updated app, it doesn’t find any of the four speakers I have around the house so I can’t use the app.i can play through Spotify sometimes. does anyone else have this problem? I’m so annoyed as these speakers aren’t cheap and the sonos connection to wifi has always been patchy anyway. They need to do better!

New Sonos app update sucks! How can I down grade again

I just upgraded to the new version of the app. I understand that it usually takes some time to get used to it. But my major way of listening to music is my local library. Not only can I not fast forward to where I need to go → used to be type a letter and you are thereNor can I not search the library anymore.Until you have this changed back or fixed please tell me how to downgrade the softwareI’m a sonos user for more than a decade and I have thousands of dollars invested. Please let me use my music system again!!!! Sonos does not need to look like Spotify!

New SONOS App - Missing all but 2 Playlists?

I just installed the new Sonos app. After doing so, all but 2 of my playlists have disappeared? Specifically, if I selected Sonos Favorites, then Playlists View All, only 2 playlist are showing . . . countless are MIA.I sure hope there are instructions for resurrecting my playlist.

Disaster App Update 80.xx.xx - May 2024

I just want to put my review (app store) from the latest update here in as already so many of us feel the same way: first of all - i m a customer and fan since 2011 and i ve several setups in my home: 1x arc - 2x era 300 - 1x sub (3rd gen) - 1x beam (2nd gen) - 2x era 100 - 1x one (2nd gen). also i m a software dev and system admin for about 25y (large international corporation). yesterday I downloaded the new update and it s a total failure and complete disaster! it s so bad that i m willed to sell all my speakers if it s not corrected or will be rollbacked. the new design is neither intuitive nor performant (iPhone 14 pro) and also key features missing like editing an actual playlist/cue, sleep timer, alarm, etc. also my favorites don’t work anymore, can’t mute, can’t switch between tv and music, nas settings gone and are not available, some services had to been removed and new connected, etc.how is it possible that a big company like this „burn it down to the ground“ when the app be

Alternative to Sonos

I sent this to the Sonos CEO email, as this seems to be the only support option available. My main point is to find a solution on the bad situation I find myself in, with the non-functioning new app.Anyone else, if not the CEO, is welcome to give their suggestions and comments, that may help me on the way. Thanks. “Dear Sonos,You have done something completely absurd, as you are aware of, by killing off a functioning app and replacing it with one that has close to no functions - a work in progress, at best, or a disaster of an app, when speaking realistically.After some years without Sonos for my part, since you decided to kill off all older devices, threatening that if I didn't replace them with new ones I would be at risk of you sending out software updates at any time that would render my system useless, I decided to give you a chance again, ordering a Port.The day after receiving this new device, before I had even managed to connect it and start using it, came this infamous app upd
