Ok where has my MP3 CD collection gone...?

So listened to my music collection playlists on Sunday (decorating) and Monday (working at home) on my Play 1’s all fine no issues. Yesterday morning, app upgrade 🤕 and can no longer find any of my music & my playlists, so had to work at home in silence. My laptop & phone played fine, finding all MP3 files, but laptop/phone speaker quality is not great. How do I get my music collection back, please, I can’t find any setting in the app to point to my files ? Currently got a couple of Sonos Play 1’s that no longer work….

No Access to my music library, Sonos playlists gone !

I suspect my problems are relating to the new app, but I am now unable to access my stored music on my networked hard drive. My Sonos playlists have completely disappeared. For someone who has spent hours compiling these playlists and with a vast amount of music available on my hard drive I am feeling totally let down by Sonos. I’ve built my whole music listening experience around the Sonos system and 90 % of it has been taken away for this “upgrade”! The app is not easy to navigate, there is no ability to create a playlist, you cannot add to queue or edit! No access to a local library. I cannot believe this has been rolled out with so many functions that were the mainstay of Sonos being removed. Basically all I am able to do is stream music services only. Is there any way of going back to the old app or a “work around” to access my own music and restore my playlists?

Roam Sl won’t connect after upgrade

Just loaded the new app. Speakers and Port work but Roam SL cannot connect. “Unable to connect. Try again later”. The roam shows up and I connect and Apply, but that’s all folks. No connection.

CBC Radio & Music no longer working after Sonos app after update

I have CBC Radio & Music in my connected services on the Sonos app. After the app update yesterday it stopped working.I’ve uninstalled this in my connected services and re-installed it, but that did nothing. I checked another radio station (NRK) and that seems to be working fine. This is what the app shows when I select my CBC station to play. After selecting “Play” it just spins.

New SONOS App has removed Windows music library and won't let me re-add it!

I’ve updated SONOS on my Android phone. The new app is awful compared to the old one and has so many bugs, as noted by customers on this site minute-by-minute over the past week or so.I’ve also updated my SONOS app on my Windows 11 computer. This is where I have my music library. The update removed the library. I tried to re-add it, and it came up with Error 913. I can’t access the music library…..I can’t use SONOS for what I bought it for!!!! Frustrated doesn’t go anywhere near how I feel right now. I’m not an I.T. Test Analyst. Neither have I volunteered to be a BETA tester for SONOS. But my investment in SONOS equipment has been destroyed by this update. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

How do I fix “Sonos needs local network access for setup. In iOS settings, tap Local Network, then return to the Sonos app.”I open the settings and local network is already ticked, I have turned it off and on again I have deleted the app and nothing seems to work

When will the sub mini be able to connect back to my existing account & system after the update over a week ago the mini sub disappeared from connection when tries to reconnect it it now won’t add back to my current system Why is this taken so long to resolve

New controller app.

I have tried to chat; tried to call and attempted to scream out the window. The new SONOS controller app update has ruined my listening pleasure. It took years to fine tune, a lot of money, and once the system was to my liking, there was no reliable way to control it. You would think a FREE component would work. Anyone else???

new sonos app released 7th May 2024 issues

Apart from the listed problems with music libraries, sleep,alarm, wifi channel options missing and Rova issues, I’ve noticed another, forgetting Sonos systems.This is when i leave my home system and go to work which we have Sonos, when i opened my app with the old app, this would seamlessly connect to the work system, then when i get home seamlessly connect to my home system and so on. Now the new app requires me to ‘join new system’ every time i go to work and come home. It doesn’t remember or seamlessly change between the 2 systems. I also tried this when going to my parents home and brothers who have Sonos. I am on their local networks and the same issue. I have to join their system, then i get home and have to join my system. Too many bugs on the new app, and Sonos should allow us to download the old app until they sort out all the problems. Im sure once the bugs are ironed out, this new app will be a better experience. I have noticed when it is working, it is quicker on connectio

New app is terrible

Don’t upgrade to the new app! The UI is not intuitive and functions that I used, like the sleep function are gone. It’s difficult to play from a streaming service. Couldn’t believe that things could get worse, but they have. The first few years of using Sonos were great, but the last couple of years have been plagued with problems. Don’t understand how they expect to sell products when the app is so flaky and you need to use it to play anything. They should have done more user testing before going live.

Feedback is coming in fast and thick, however - for understandable reasons - and to be frank, we are having trouble just keeping up with it all. For this reason, some topics that have not yet been replied to will go unanswered. "Your system was not found on this network" after product adoption.

I got a new router, and read online that the easiest way to transfer my existing, working pair of play:1s was to factory reset them and create a new system on the new network. I did this, and the system cannot see the system. Additionally, at the end of adopting each speaker, the following message was displayed: “Your Play:1 has been added but may not appear in the system tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from the System tab.” Accordingly, I did as it suggested, and the system is not found. I’ve repeatedly factory reset and readopted the devices, to no avail: the system is never found. I’m not quite sure what else to try. This had taken hours and I have an unusable pair of speakers. I’ve read elsewhere that factory resetting devices may not remove them from “my system,” whatever that is. How should I proceed?
